Being in the energy of action

Happy new year! We are in that special break of time that marks a new beginning…for us as individuals as well as a collective. On this 11th day of the 1st month of the year, I ask you to take a breath now and acknowledge the first words that pop into your mind when you see:  

FIRST STEP
 

Sit in that headspace for just a few moments longer. What idea/thought flashed through your mind? What feelings came with it? How did it feel to allow yourself to pay attention? 

Taking the first step, even a tiny step, in a new direction puts us in the energy of action. The first step alerts us to pay attention to the change that is happening.

Being in the energy of action is about moving forward while staying present. You may know exactly where you are headed, or you may have only a cloudy notion. You may feel excitement or you may feel fear. You may have a plan or you may have no plan.

All those sensations and ideas are understandable… yet they can also be completely irrelevant. Life is change and progression. When you have a true intention to move towards a goal, all that is required is putting one foot in front of the other. And a steadfast focus on this step right now. That is enough to build momentum.
